Rose Quartz (voiced by Susan Egan) – The former leader of the Crystal Gems and Steven's mother, who had to give up her physical form to give birth to him. It is revealed that she rebelled against the Homeworld Gems to stop them from harming Earth and the inhabitants. She had a rose quartz in her navel that Steven inherited. Her weapon was the shield Steven now has, as well as other weapons, such as her sword and laser light cannon. She also had powers from her tears that healed things (such as cracked gemstones) and made plants grow into an army, which Steven's saliva inherited.
